Avengers Charlton 14U takes 2nd in Reno-Tahoe Youth Nationals

June '23 - Reno, NV - The Avengers 14U Charlton team battled the elements and fierce competition on their way to the Championship game and second place finish at the Reno-Tahoe Youth Nationals. Thunderstorm delays, high temps and even a 3.4 magnitude earthquake did not sway this team off course. They fought through a gauntlet of teams from California, Nevada, Arizona and Oregon, finally succumbing to a very good So Cal Athletics team in the Championship game.

In attendance at the tournament, along with 3-time All-PAC 12 honoree, Sharlize Palacios from UCLA, was UW Husky superstar Sammi Reynolds. As the only Washington based team in the field, Sammi somewhat adopted the squad, taking selfies and team pics, hanging out in the dugout and generally cheering on the hometown team. It was a fantastic experience for the girls!
